DOON PO SA AMIN, MAY COCONUT: "THE TREE OF LIFE OUR PRIDE" is a Docu-Educational and Lifestyle video hosted by the students of Kintner ChristIan Academy. The "Coconut Team" as we tagged was also handled by the team coach and moderator of our fist entry "DOON PO SA AMIN, PITO ANG LAWA". This is a collection of videos within the community featuring people, places, things and important events related to San Pablo City, Coconut and Coco Festival. The journey starts with exclusive interviews from Ms. Donnalyn Eseo (City Tourism) and Mr. Ruben Taningco (considered as historian).

Few minutes away from Kintner Christian Academy,  the team visited Diding's Macapuno and Special Pasalubong located at Barleta St. at the City Town Proper (near San Pablo Cathedral). Macapuno sweeties as their specialty was a favorite pasalubong not only by Filipino tourists but by also by foreign visitors of San Pablo. See how Ivy Vanessa Castillo do the first move.

After a sweet visit to Didings macapuno, the Coconut Team proceeded to one of the famous specialty of Maharlika Hi-way at Brgy. San Nicolas, San Pablo City. Ivy Castillo was very eager to know how SPECIAL BIBINGKAS are being made with the special ingredient - buko (young coconut meat).

After having a good taste of Kuya Edmond's special bibingka, the Coconut team visited the provincial office of Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) at Alaminos, Laguna just 15 minutes away from San Pablo City. this video will present a written interview from the provincial manager Lanie Lapitan and researches from the website of PCA. On the same manner, some information were also given simultaneuosly by Mr. Ruben Taningco, considered as historian of San Pablo.

The Cococonut Team was not yet done to our exploration. After a such travel , we will not  miss one of the major specialties of San Pablo - COLLETE'S BUKO PIE. The team was privileged to have an actual buko pie making as Fritz Justine Biglete and Jessa Matanguihan make their own designs and taste of Buko Pie.  Thanks to Mr. Efren Tubigin for the instruction and tour. Hmmmmm..sounds so yummy!!!! Watch this...

Do you think they are already full? No. No, No.....During Coco Festival (January 9-15), there are many tourists / visitors going to San Pablo to witness the highlights of the event. In relation to this, the City Tourism are endorsing one of the special restaurant for our special visitors to be well accommodated. The Coconut team have their full tanked stomach after having a full tanked lunch served by full tanked ClydenJosh Restaurant. Your stay in San Pablo won't be completed if you will not dine in at Clyden Josh Restaurant. This video is a continuation of a clip featured in our first entry Doon Po Sa Amin Pito Ang Lawa (because it is located beside Sampaloc Lake).

Before the day ends, Ivy and Hazel was very interested to have a close look to a very amazing COCONUT GOWN for their final spot. Mr. Nholie Pilapil was very proud to show his winning design being the GRAND CHAMPIOM to Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) nationwide competition in gown making from indegenuos materials in partnership with the Department of Tourism. Let's watch the video and see how Nholie Pilapil (the only San  Pableño who is a member of Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines) showed his creativeness in using coconut husk for making his gown.

San Pablo City was very blessed to have Coconut as the Tree of Life! Where all parts can be used from leaves to root.  We are hoping that through cooperation and discipline, there will be an increase in the production of coconut not only in  San Pablo but to all parts of the Philippine as well.
